So, they’re the hype band of the moment, it seems, which makes me instantly wary of them but I have to say I find their African Beatles meets Orange Juice sound rather intriguing. This is their new single, ‘Mansard Roof’ and it’s a brilliantly succinct pop song – Two Minutes Fifteen Seconds with no flab.
Also, it’s nice to see a pop video on a boat. Since the Eighties, there’s not been many Boat-located videos which is a genuine shame. I think we can hold Duran Duran wholly responsible for that. And many other things.
