Holy Fuck – Lovely Allen

Holy Fuck have just made a video for probably my favourite track on their excellent debut LP, ‘LP’. The track is ‘Lovely Allen’ and the video involves them thrashing away at their equipment and pedals in a studio with footage swirling behind them. They play Dublin on April 10th, which unfortunately clashes with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. Both gigs are sure to be awesome but I got my ticket for Sharon Jones early after everyone kept telling me how brilliant she was at SXSW last year (I decided to go see Fujiya & Miyagi instead). With the success the likes of Battles are getting, you do have to wonder if Holy Fuck’s name may hold them back a bit. Personally, I think Holy Fuck’s album was far superior to Battle’s ‘Mirrored’ and deserved the same type of success. Hopefully, Lovely Allen will introduce Holy Fuck to some new ears.
